As you activate the different layers available in the map below, you'll find:
For the project below, the client was interested to know how much natural salinity was driving the elevated electromagnetic conductivity readings (the EM31 plot) and how much was potential contamination.
With the addition of a digital elevation model and high resolution ortho-image, the client is able to conduct detailed and comprehensive site analysis from anywhere in the world.
Focused Geo enables end users to fully engage with their data: change opacity, adjust conductivity and elevation scales, zoom into features of interest and to share their data with interested parties. The online mapping service is useful for monitoring larger programs where a number of sites are being monitored. In addition, the service is provided free for clients who use the data collection and mapping services of Focused Geo or one of our partnered organizations.
A brief note about the NDVI, or normalized difference vegetation index in the above map: increasing vegetation content is presented as the colour green, whereas purple is a complete absence of vegetion. An NDVI map is created by collecting and comparing both the red and near infrared reflectance values - Focused Geo achieves this with a UAV mounted 5 band spectral camera, or by using satellite imagery .
